Hi guys, i've noticed that sometimes my emunand/sd card might get corrupt but if i replace my emunand folder(sd card partition) with my emunand backup then everything will be working again. Thing is my backup emunand is from quite a couple of months back and i noticed that some save games or newly installed games were gone after i copy/paste the emunand backup folder. I can always re-install them and use checkpoint since i backup quite a bit, but i want to understand if it's because the emunand backup that i have actually stores saves games? I don't see any increase of file size except for the Emutendo folder though.

So my point is if i were to make backups, does it mean i have to backup the emunand folder each time after every game installs? Do i need to backup the emutendo folder as well? Or can i just backup the emutendo folder and use the old emunand backup if anything happens again? TIA!

In my experience it seemed like my micro SD card went corrupt in the process of adding games. I would suggest making your backup before making changes to your SD card.

Yes exactly, i do have backups but i just want to know which files should i backup other than the emunand folder? Cuz if i just use an old emunand backup to replace the corrupted one, it doesn't recover my newly installed updates/games. Will backing up emutendo help or it wouldn't make a difference? Usually i install game updates/dlc in my sd card.

also if i do need to backup both emutendo and emunand folder, each time i install a game update, can i just backup emutendo or i need to do both all the time? both folders are not exactly small in size.
