Emunand disappeared after trying to load retroarch core

Hi, I'm running SX OS 2.9.2, had been running an on system memory emunand with 9.0.1

I ran retroarch 1.8.1 for the first time and tried to load the muphen64 core, a system error occurred (sorry I don't have the error code) and I rebooted SX with the power button as prompted. It booted into the sysnand w/ cfw.

Now when I start up with the dongle the emunand is gone, no more "emunand enabled" above boot CFW. The option to create/delete an emunand exists.

I read about problems with ExFat SD corruption in retroarch but I figured having the emunand in system memory that shouldnt be the problem. Tried replacing boot.dat and license.dat with no change.

Any idea if I can reconnect to emunand somehow so I can boot into it?

So following up from this, not sure what changed exactly but I have the original emunand back.

What I did was put the SD into a computer and changed boot.dat back to SX OS 2.8, booted it and emunand was there.
So I changed boot.dat to 2.9.2 and emunand booted just fine. Maybe retroarch did corrupt something and the computer fixed it. 🤷‍♂️
Hopefully this helps if this happens to someone else.
