EmuNAND question

Hello. When I first got my SX Pro dongle, I had everything working correctly, but I could not perform the EmuNAND backup. A message came up saying that there was not enough disk space. Of course, with my luck, the new update (7.0) came out a day later, and I did not have the WiFi turned off. So I am currently awaiting the update. My stupid fault.

My question is, how much space is needed for the EmuNAND backup? I had a 64 GB card in the SD slot, with nothing but the base files needed by SX Pro. I certainly wouldn't want to have to go through this again for any reason. Although, I now have WiFi turned off, so maybe it's not an issue.

Also, is having WiFi off the only way to prevent auto-updates?

Thanks in advance for any and all help and info.

You would need about 32gb. I have seen others mention that when they tried to create a hidden partition emunand on a 64gb exfat card that it did not work though. I use the SD files version personally just because for me its easier to back up and move to another SD if I need to.

Once 7.0 is supported, I would say try formatting your card to fat32 and try to make your emunand again.

Thank you. I will reformat the card or just purchase a newer, larger one.

As for the WiFi, is having it completely off the only solution against auto-updates? Sorry, I'm a total noob with the SX Pro/Switch.

No prob. Airplane mode On is for the sure the best way to not get banned. The only other way which is of course not for everyone would be to pick up another Switch and use that one online and the one you have for modding. Tablets only are fairly cheap on ebay right now, but even still are between 100 and 160.
