How do you erase the eeprom off the xbox or replace it with a blank eeprom with the X3 bios because the backup screen is the only screen i can get to, that works.

if I'm not mistaken, error 6 means the console cannot unlock your hd. In otherwords, you got a locked hd from somewhere and just try to couple it with the xbox motherboard. Since you have a modchip installed, go and buy a new drive or take any extra PC drive you have lying around then format the drive and install a dashboard onto it. If purchasing a new drive, make sure to get a lockable drive if you plan to play on live.

I'am not really looking to throw this one away since it is 250gb. I head XBHDM can do the job to unlock the hdd and reformat C:. Has anybody did this?

I don't think it can be done without either knowing the hdd password (key) or removing the eeprom from the old motherboard (that the hdd came from) to the new motherboard. If you don't have any of the two, then you got yourself a nice paper weight.

Have you tried using Slayers Evox Auto installer? There's a option to lock/unlock hard drives on there that you might find useful.
