I tried to flash my V1.6 with X3 with 1959. My chips switch is in the proper position. My switches are on,on,off,off,off. when about 2/3 way through it stopped and said erase failed. the eject button then flashed orange. After that my xbox now frags with the 2 blue led's on the chip on and the panal on the front blue. I can disable the chip and goto the backup no problem. Any idea what's going on with it??

so should i go into the back up by pressing power+eject and put switches 1 and 2 ON and 3 4 5 to OFF and try and flash 1959 again????
well i got it fixed. I just went and reflashed 1959 again by pressing the power+eject button and it loads up normally now.
JungleFlasher not detecting my BENQ drive
JungleFlasher isn't detecting my BENQ DVD Drive for some odd reason.
Everything seems to be correct, my SATA cable is hooked into my motherboard from my Disc Drive. (I've tried multiple SATA cable ports on my motherboard as well)
It's in mode B
I installed the driver
Help please?

mode b is for hitachis
vendor mode is for mtk based drives lke benq
use the lastest jungleflasher portio doesnt require installing runs on the fly,
sounds like your sata isnt compatible,
download cpu-z and look under mainboard/southbridge for sata chipset
best bet is to get a pci via card

id just go out and buy a via6421a sata card. they cost around £5 and then follow the jungleflasher tut and do everything it says and itll def pick up your drive. if it isnt detecting your drive then it sounds like turny said that your chipset isnt compatible. i didnt even bother to test if mine was i just bought a via card straight away and its the best thing i did. hope that helps a bit. you can find the via cards on ebay for cheap.
