Gents,

I tried to find the procedure on how to re-flash/erase the existing bios from the "selected" bank on my X3. I have X3 1959 bios on one bank and Evo M8 on another... It sims that Slayers 2.6 would not work with 1959 (Does not recognise the bios, buyt works with Evo M8, however even if it works it would not load in original mode for some reason ).. So I would like to know how can I erase the bios 1959 from the other bank, so I could flash new bios when it comes up in order for proper xbox work.

Thank you very much in advance,

Sadig

if it's loading it up it's working fine, evox does not need to "recognize" your bios at all, but if you wanted it to you need to add the md5 sum to the evox.ini (i'll assume you don't know how to do that since you are using gayers evox installer)

Thanks for the replay, Psilocybe!
I know how to edit/modify the evox.ini... however some strange things going on... When it loads form 1959 bios (the one that evox does not recognize), it would not see any of backed up games... However I load the X-box with EvoM8 (different bank) it see all the games and thay are all playable...
So do you know how to erase the bank whith already existing bios?

Thanks in advance

try learning how to actually use the X3 Bios LBA 48 settings

you are giving us absolutley no information to help you

I dont even know why you are using evox when you ghave an X3 mod - you only need the X3 Bios - and we recommend you use the latest avalaunch dashboard as it has built in X3 support and extra features

you are using old stuff thats not required

Very old soft modded firmware + xbox update -- need help

So about a year ago my soft-modded xbox broke down on me. I recently tried to fix it using the x-clap replacement method and it worked. The 360 was finally able to power on normally and I could view my dashboard instead of the 3 rrod.

However, I tried to play a backup game and I was prompted to install an update in order to simply PLAY any of these discs (the update had come offline from the hard drive itself which has been in used on another working xbox, fully updated). I chose to update. After a few seconds and then a restart, my xbox is back to flashing three red rings and error code 0022.

Is it possible this update had screwed with the VERY old firmware on the xbox dvd drive, thus making it unable to boot? Please keep in mind that the 360 ran fine, hard-drive free for over an hour, so I think the x-clamp replacement worked. I mean, the xbox went down again RIGHT AFTER the update. Maybe flashing some new firmware could fix this? Thanks.

Midiandy is right, Error 0022 has nothing to do with the update, it's the processors overheating that causes this error.. Try applying some more thermal paste to the cpu and gpu inside the console, then replace the x-clamps. Then continue with the update. Good luck :)
