I did read in these forums that 13 was a dasboard failure, but i have double checked the .inf file and everything seems to be in order.. Is there anything else i could have done wrong ? (Well obviously there is..)

I tried both x2_5031_v16plus_512k.bin and x2_5032_v16plus_512k.bin on my v1.6

TIA

Yes, the ini file seems to be corrupt, yes I know you can open and read it, try deleting it.
and useing Internet exporer to transfer it through EDonCHIP

Must be Flashfxp screwing it up when choosing transfer mode.. ??

I have a x2 lite mod chip and only have one bank to flash. I am getting the same 13 error. I can't ftp to my box now that I've flashed the corrputed ini file. Am i screwed?
Any suggestions on ways to get an uncorrupted ini file on my box?

I had used my Slayer_Evox install disk to ftp to my xbox, delete the x2config.ini file (should be in E drive), and start it back up. You can get the Slayer_Evox install disk from the usual places. After the flubber screen the disk should boot Evox. Just look at what the I.P. address is and when done shut the xbox off. I had this problem, but it was a stupid error on my part.

You would like to think that people would read the documentations provided...

ALL of these recent BIOS files have worked on SmartXX's without ANY problems... I have gone to great lengths to try and repeat said issues on all the currently available versions of SmartXX and my only findings are user error...

If you use an INI file from a different build of BIOS guess what, doesn't work...
Similarly if you actually use the WRONG BIOS for your model of XBOX again, doesn't work...

Before posting this or that doesn't work on my chip, try removing the INI file first, if it does suddenly work, then give yourself a good slap and read the INI file itself next time around.

error 13 almost always means that you transfered the ini in ascii mode, not binary (IMAGE). you need to set flashfxp to transfer always in binary, not "auto".
