Using Nand-x to usb to dump the nand and everytime I get the same error 250 block 1CC.
Im also using Win 7x64 and coolshrimps latest version 3.13 on xenon and have compared 6 dumps all with no differences.

Xell installs fine and CPU key is fine.

I create the freeboot .bin fine then proceed to write to nand and all goes well but also creates 1 error - error 202 block 1CC.

On start up boot splash loads up then freezes on its last frame.

So I thought it must be the block error and re-flashed the original dump, that all goes well and Im back to kernel 6717.

Does anyone know what I should do or where Im going wrong?

All solder points are good.

Thanks for any input you can offer!

Well, it seems to be a harmless bad block on your nand. Did you remap your bad blocks? Seems like that might be the problem. Just flash your nand with xellous or just get jtag tool to remap your blocks.

Yeah, I tried that but no joy.

Now it seems that I cannot write to the nand at all. Just says error 0 at block 0, 1, 2, 3 etc for every block on the whole nand.

Any ideas on how I can re-write the orignal nand as all I get is bad blocks through to 3FF.

Oh jsut to add, Ive been using jtag tool from the start, v3.13.

Cheers.

Well I can now write to the nand again as I resoldered the wires but Im still geting the freeze eve after I remap the block error in jtag tool.

Edit: now Im getting E79 after writing the remapped nand.

Wierd, any other suggestions?

Well, E79 means a dashboard error but from what I read it can also be just a problem with the hard drive. Do you have a hard drive attached to this console? If so, then remove it and see it that works. Are all your jtag wires fine? Perhaps you have a bad diode. Also, try remaking your freeboot nand and see if that helps. Lastly, try making your freeboot nand with a different maker like BestPig or Easy Freeboot.

Yeah, I thought I'd try attaching the HDD as it had the latest dash board to match but it through the E79 I guess. So I tried it without again and it still froze on last frame of splash.

Gonna replace the two diodes on the jtag and see if that helps - dont think it wil though.

To add, when writing the nand I always get error 202 block 1CC as apposed to the error 250 block 1CC when reading!

Any ideas?

Will try other FB makers if diode change doesnt help.

Edit: Managed to sort it. Seeing as Ive doing this after a night shifft I kinda forgot to unmap before creating the FB image then remap to write to the nand.

Thanks for your help though man, nice one!

Well there you go :) . Btw, if you flash your images through Xellous. It will remap them for you automatically.
