what does this error mean? error 250 reading block 74. its a xenon motherboard set-up. would it be the soldering or the nand is no good? the reason i say that is the nand is no good because finally noticed that it wasn't plugged in properly, (i already read the nand like 6 times and got the same error messages) also using the pin headers looked easier then soldering the pins down. my dashboard is 7357. drivers have been installed and shows up in the device manager. using windows vista 32-bit.<<<using it also to flash my xbox 360 consoles.

thank you in advance!!! wanting to do this for awhile now, finally got my nand-x yesterday and been trying for like 5 hours now.

error 250 is a bad block. its no big deal and as long as you get the same bad block in the same location everytime you dump the nand then its fine. it might need to be remapped for freeboot but probably not. i had 3 bad blocks on my first xenon and it worked fine.

Sorry it's me again with another question I forgot to post!!!

After i read the nand (yeah, I explained already it had the error 250 reading block 74), even 3 times, open Nand Compare plugged the bin files came out as (0 non-matching block(s) found)<<<So does that mean its a good read??? PLUS ONE THING I FIND ANNOYING AND HAVING MY DOUBTS I cant even see my CB Value using the Degraded Tool, I open the Tool and browse for the bin file and it closes on me!!! Just wondering if thats OKAY???

Thanks again in advance for those peeps that answer my questions right away!!! ESPECIALLY "FLASHING 360" THANKS ALOT FOR QUICK REPLYS!!!

P.S do I really have to remap/unmap bad blocks FIRST and then start writing the freeboot?

Why are you still using Degraded? Get 360 Flash Dump Tool v0.95 instead and open your NAND in it. It shouldn't have any problem opening it.

It says that because you haven't entered your CPU Key in it. Everything in the KV is encrypted and can only be decrypted by using the correct CPU Key. Once you get your CPU Key and enter it in it, the "Bad KV" won't be shown anymore.

How about you try this: Alternate JTAG SMC/Points Tutorial

Hopefully it will work out for you ;)

hey M AzeeM K I have the Xenon motherboard, the link u gave said that its not for slim and xenon? proceed anyway or what?
Sorry. I don't know how missed the bit where you said that you have a Xenon motherboard in the first post .

Now, since you have a Xenon, you cannot use the tutorial.

Lets see...How about you try to write XBR and see if it works for you. If it works, then you can get your CPU Key by booting up XeLL using the eject button. And then make a freeBOOT image and flash it to your console.

Great News. Now, get XeXMenu, FSD2 and XM360. These Homebrew programs are necessary for a Jtagged console. Other than that, just search for the things you want ;).

OK then, have fun with your Jtagged Xbox360 .

Before writing of freeboot, does it matter which one I ticked in the "Jtag Tool"? I ticked the XB1 Compatibility? rather then the "Mem Editing"!!
If you want to play Xbox1 games, the Yes, it does matter. If not, then you don't need to worry about it.
