error 66 helppppp

hi all right just flashed my 360 samsung drive ms25 and all went ok but when i rebooted i have the 66 error i used xboxmaker and firm ware extreme52d can any one help can this be repaired and if so how ? ive done 3 now but first prob ive come across plaese help

Your firmware is probably reporting as a ms28 drive and not a ms25. You will need to fix this and reflash your hacked.bin. You can use firmware toolbox or samtool to remediate the issue.

ive checked my hacked firm ware and it is reported as ms28 can any one help with how s the best way to do as caster says and what firm ware etc to use doi use tool box and spoof the ms28 to ms25 any help appriciated
this is my m8 box and if i cannot fix it iam going to have to give him my beloved xbox so please help

get ur original firm and get the extreme52.rar and extract all the files to a new folder u then should have in this folder
FW
MAKE EXTREME FIRMWARE.CMD
README.TXT
X360SAM.EXE

then get ur original firmware and put it in the new folder with the others...

MAKE EXTREME FIRMWARE.CMD
README.TXT
X360SAM.EXE
ORIG

then u simply double click on the MAKE EXTREME FIRMWARE.CMD
the cmd window will open giving u four options...
ENTER A for extreme 5.2a <always fast>
B for xtreme 5.2b <always quite/slow>
and so on.. select the type u want.
then u will get..
ENTER A for report as ms28 (standard)
B for report as ms25....... thats the one u want.
after selecting B and hitting ENTER it will create (in the folder next to the ORIG will be called X52A) the firmware for u to use.
just create a flashdrive with that in xtreme boot maker it wont reconize the firmware but its ok it will work. use it.
then just do the usual.. samread... then samhack.
and u should be back as a ms25 drive.

I would do as Caster says instead of using x360sam (sorry but it's out dated).

samtool orig.bin xtreme52d.bin

You can do the above in windows command prompt (start - run - cmd) or dos before you flash.

I USED MAYO SUGGESTION PLUS THE BAD FLASH METHOD TO GET THE DRIVE TO RESPOND SO WORKING NOW THANKS TO ALL WHO REPLYED TO THIS THREAD HOPE I CAN REPAY THE COMPLIMENT ONE DAY
