error 79 afer xell (noob)

Hello, I have a 2005 Xenon board. I fitted the QSB for nand-x and did two dumps. These dumps both checked out fine so I pressed the xell button on coolshrimps jtag tool. Then when I turned on the xbox I had 1 red light and error 79.

So I relfashed back my original nand and everything works ok, so I dont think its a solder problem, am I right in thinking I have one of the funny boxes that needs the other install method ?

I had a xenon that had the same and even after i fitted the alternate kit still gave a E79.

The only way i could get around it was by installing xellous (not xell) and updating via usb stick.
I created the firmware and saved it to the stick then updated using the dash controls through xellous.

Worked fine. so i flashed that same firmware to the nand using jtag tool and E79 :(
I have to use the usb method or it E79's everytime.

Flash back original nand
write xellous
create nand update in jtag tool and save to usb stick
Start xbox with usb drive in
let it update via usb.

I have not fitted jtag yet, only the x-nand qsb, its dumped the nand fine, i just cant install xell or xellous, when I do I get error 79.

After installing the jtag part - flashing my original back - then installing xell and xellous I still get error 79. I have checked my solder points and they seem good.

Sucsess I did it :) Turns out the little black switch was in the wrong position. OK so the blue screen comes up I have my cpu key - but my dvd key is not there it says "kv_get_dvd_key failure: hash check failed"

i need the key from the bord :( am i sol ?

Edit:- ALRIGHT !!

I put the cpu key in 360 flash and with my nand it gave me the dvd key phew!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if your using coolshrimps jtag tool, click on KV info, find your dump, enter your key then press get infor.
that will tell you your dvd key
