So i have 2 jtags, and when i write the nand for XBR_smc.bin, i get 0022/0020. and if i flash back orig, there is no rrod. so whats the problem? i have updated my SMC before.

The kv/config block you you have injected into the XBR image have some problem. I suggest you to dump your original NAND again and start the process over again.

Are the both consoles Falcon?

Which diodes are you using?

Are you sure all the connections are set up right?

Plus, what is the length of the wires that you are using?

By the way, I believe you are using the Alternate JTAG SMC/Points Tutorial, right?

If you're using my tutorial, this shouldn't be happening.

The only thing left to check are the connections. Check them with Multimeter if you can. Also, it may have happened that the diodes you're using are faulty. Try replacing them with some new ones. Also make sure that the orientation of the diodes are correct.

yea, but what are the odds on 2 xboxes it does this

The reason you are having these errors is because the JTAG is taking an excess of voltage from the circuit. Since the Jtag circuit is directly related to the GPU, when the JTAG takes up such unnecessary voltage, the voltage required for the GPU to work correctly isn't supplied to it and you get such errors which are related to GPU i.e. 0020 or 0022 etc. To make this not happen, diodes are used, which limit the voltage that passes through the Jtag. Therefore, it seems like the batch of diodes you are using are faulty. I suggest you get some new diodes and replace the old ones with the new ones. This should probably fix the problem you're having.

didnt work, i used a new pack of switching diodes and i wired one to the ROL board and the DVD drive power cable and put for the SMC:

TMS: NO PATCHES (ROL Board)
TDI: OPEN_TRAY

im getting really annoyed now lol, cuz this has never happened before

So, the sum up is: If you write back the original NAND dump, both the consoles work fine without any problem. But when you write XBR or XeLL, neither of the consoles work and you get 0020/0022 error, even if you remove the Jtag wiring.

Right?

OK, just a question. What is the CB of the of the original NAND of the consoles?
