Error flashing bios - I think.

Here is the deal. Just aquired an XBOX V1.0 off eBay after a friend said they were easy to mod (it came with original spec and an error code 16). I bought the xecuter 2.6 CE with solderless adapter which I have put in (hopefully correctly!). I added a 200Gb HDD and after realising that Thompson DVD Rom don't read anything at all (!) put in a Samsung drive.

I then proceeded to Flash, and here is where it all goes wrong. I have a horrible feeling that I have flashed with X3_1959, I am unsure as I got all excited and burnt off a disc without thinking using a download of what seems to be a hundred bioses. All went ok, until after flash it turned off, and on, and off and on then nothing but a black screen. and there is a light in the front next to eject that flashes red and green

This is the first time I have used an XBOX, or opened one up even. I am a complete Noob at this, though I am a PC engineer by trade. I have no idea what error this is giving. Any help is appreciated.:)

Did you actually do any research into modding your xbox or just dive straight in!
Why did you flash an X3 bios to a X2.6 chip? surely the x3 would have given it away that it was the wrong bios.

Yes your mate is right it is easy to mod your xbox if you research alot, its alot harder to correct bad installs!!!

As dj said your only option is to buy a programmer or hope your mate has the same chip and installed flashbios onto the spare bank on his chip or use the flashbios backup on an x3 via hotswapping

im in a similar situation
except i did use a x2 bios

here is my senario

i got audio but no video after flash
i can boot dvds ( i tried a disk called xbox maker)
xbox v 1.0
xcuter 2.6 ce
flashed with M8plus
not sure if it was the right one it was 256k and i think i should have used 512k
on the other hand i still have my old orig xbox drive with softmod on it, yes i tried it and it does work
so i was wondering if there is a way to use this to reflash my chip

any help is appriciated
