What version Xbox do you have? It is possible the red wire is the alternate 5v if you have a 1.6. You need to provide us information so we can help. Xbox version, chip, bios, type of install, etc..

A bad D0 point won't cause a frag. All that does is tell the Xbox to boot from the LPC bus and not the onboard bios. We still need to know all the information about this so we can help. Was this install ever working?

I believe i have a 1.1 or 1.2. I have a xecuter 2.6 . My install was working. I pulled the hd out and put it back & now it flashes. Sometimes i wonder if it is the connection from the chip to that front panel. Any way to check that?

I'm not sure how you would wreck the Xbox by just removing the hard drive and replacing it. Did you drop a screw in there or something?

true, it sucks. This is what we did. I took my box to my buddies house and he has the exact same chip as i do. We soldered the wire on the back of the mobo that xbox scene's tutorials said it would work. I posted it on the 1st post. That didnt work. We switched out the wire between the chip and the control panel on the front. That didnt work. We took the chip out and put it in his box and it booted fine. So i know the chip works. The only other thing we could think of was the motherboard.
