hey everyone got a frustrating problem on my 360

Untouched xenon 6717 given to me today to replace my broken one, soldered all nand wires and jtag points so went to dump my nand but got this

in total i dumped nand 16 times and used nand compare which gave me

1024 block(s) in nand image
0 non-matching block(s) found

result i thought so wrote xell and retrived cpu and dvd key created free_boot image re-wrote this to xbox and booted up only for new dash to launch then crash giving me an E71: Dashboard Error seconary error E67: Hard Drive Error which is funny as there is no hdd connected.
when writing xell to nand it writes and boots fine but when writing free_boot i get writing error on same two blocks.

A few pictures of my info

TOOLS
nandx
coolshrimps jtag tool 2.87
360 flash dump 0.95

any and all help is very much appreciated

if it was mine then id personally flash back my original nand and update the xbox to 7371 and then redump. then create a new freeboot image. tbh them 2 bad blocks shouldnt make much difference but as a last resort they may need to be remapped.

I don't understand what the issue is.

Error 250 is 'empty block', therefore the two blocks should just need to be remapped to 3FF and 3FE respectively and job done. The console should look to these locations to find the data and then it should just work.

Have you already tried manually mapping the blocks?

cheers for the replys
im assuming that because i have these two bad blocks in my read and write that this is crashing my new dash and the two programs i have tried to use to remap the blocks have not worked under windows 7 64 will have to dig out my trusty lappy with xp on it and give it a whirl
but that will be tomorrow after the truck racing at my local race track :)

E74 is mobo related and has nothing to do with the JTAGing. I've literally just finished with a Falcon console and I got E74. I put a little pressure on the HANA chip and fired her up and got it working. I've since turned it on a few times afterwards and it looks to be ok now. I don't know the history of the console but it's possible it was sporadically happening anyway and I might be seeing this console in the near future for a reflow.

Long story short - you would have been getting E74 at some point whether you JTAGed it or not. The question is whether you try and fix it or get it reflowed... :)

Nope, it's needing a reflow. XeLL makes different calls to the gpu and doesn't address the part which would cause e74.

Definitely the GPU needs a reflow...

Guy and gals,

I have bought a Xbox360 from ebay has the e71 error.
i have paid for the reflux/reflow, so no over heating etc
Has no harddrive attached, just a usb 20 gig drive.

Console seems to have a corrupt os, will not update and cashes all the time.

if i buy the Xecuter NAND-X to reflash my os, will this fix this issue.

I have 2 xboxes and just wana get this one fixed, will be well handy.

Thanks guys for any input :)
