Hi everyone,

I get an error when im finalizing my disk with imageburn. Can someone tell me what it means?

I think either my DVD burner, my media, or my SS file is bad.

Ive burned saints row on this DVD burner before, but on higher quality media.

This is the error:

-- -- -----------------------------------
Finalizing disk failed!

Device [1:0:0]_nec_dvd_rw nd-3540a 1:01 (d:) (ATA)

Reason: no seek complete.

---------------------------------------

Help?

Hmm, that's weird. I would definitely stick to using whatever media you used before that works.

this is weird, when I use IMGburn I don't start with the .DVD file I burn the ISO file, and I 've never had this problem..... I've only used Verbatim's and Memorex (which was a RiData disc) I also burn at the fastest speed......

ya with IMGburn I've never burned the .dvd file just the .ISO..... When it opens the Browser under file type go to ISO then click your ISO and you will see, Works to Perfection

If you burn just the .iso image, make sure you set the custom layerbreak in the drive settings first or none of your backups will work. I'm guessing Crazywhitie already has his set, so that's why it works for him. The .dvd file's sole purpose is actually to set the layerbreak. It's only two lines if you open up the .dvd file in notepad.

Code:
LayerBreak=1913760
IMAGE.iso
As you can see, the first line sets the custom layerbreak value and the second line says what image file to burn.

If you want to burn by selecting just the ISO alone, Open ImgBurn.

1. Make sure your DVD burner is selected as the current drive.
2. Tools > Settings...
3. Go to the Write tab
4. Look for the "Options" area in the top right of this view
5. Change the LayerBreak to User Specified and enter the custom layerbreak value for all Xbox 360 games : 1913760
