Sorry to be such a noob but I have done a lot of searching and can't find the answer to this. This was my first mod attempt and it went pretty good. Took me 2 times to get it working alright before I got to the bios. I am able to press the power button fine to boot up with the chip enabled and I am able to boot with the chip off in MS. But I can't boot with the backup flash by holding down the power and eject buttons. I just want to make sure I am not missing something before I proceed.

You have to hit it right...

if you hold them too long the u will prob get purple light but black screen.

Hmmm, its weird....I must had tried it like 50 times. Still haven't gotten the purple backup flash. Either nothing happens or I boot up with the chip enabled (probably because I hit the power switch just a little too soon). Is it possible that I may have soldered something incorrectly or something may be loose? If I can't get to the backup, is it really a huge concern....can I still go ahead an flash my chip? Thanks for the help by the way!

Well, I finally got it to work. I had to hold down the power button for like half a second and then hit the eject button. It loaded up the purple backup rom just fine. Thanks for the help anyway!

Time to enjoy the X3!!!
