hi all,
first, sorry for my english. i'm italian and i don't know and understand english very good.

i use only linux on my pc, so i did these passages:
- i created a dummy.bin with dd
- i extracted evox rar archive with rar
- i renamed the evox.xbe in default.xbe
- i edited evox.ini
- i burned a sony cd-rw (after erasing it) that worked with x3 bios using k3b.

i inserted the cd into xbox dvd drive, i rebooted my xbox and...it loads only the menu of x3 bios :(

how can i can load evox cd?

thanks for answers :)

You don't even need an Evox disk. Don't worry: I thought so from the beginning myself. But the majority of those guides you find on the internet deal with the X2 chip, not the X3.

Once you have the X3 chip and bios, you're golden! You are now capable of FTP through the bios itself. Just use FlashFXP and FTP the dashboard of your choice to C, E, or F. Wherever you want them, but I recommend C. I'm kind of an organizational freak... :)

Just follow all the FTP guides after getting all the programs you need. You're almost done! Good luck.

this afternoon (5 hours ago) i've connected the xbox to my pc with a crossover ethernet cable.

i've put evoxdash.xbe and evox.ini in C:\ and changed the boot sequence, setting evoxdash.xbe the first.

but my xbox always boots default x3 dash :(

it isn't normal... :(

Ciao amico! I think your problem is very simple. When it boots to the X3 go into X3 Config Live/Customize X3 Bios/Autostart X3 Config Live...make sure this is dissabled. Once dissabled it will boot to your Evox dash.

To access the X3 setup, just hold the white button on boot up.

Buona Fortuna.
