EvoX freezes on "loading..." screen

OK, I have a V1.0 xbox, philips drive, with X3 and Xapt3r installed. X3 3294 bios on banks 1-4 (not working, long story), EvoX bios on banks 5-8 (what i boot from). EvoX installed using 2.6 auto installer from CD-RW. Dashboard boots fine, am able to change skins, but do NOTHING else... Every other operation i try to do besides changing skins, the dash freezes on the "loading..." screen, or the green Evolution X logo on the original skin. Someone please help.

There's obviously something wrong with your EvoX. I don't like auto-installers - never used them, just don't like them!

Anyways, can you download EvoX from Xbins? If you want to use EvoX as your main dashboard, then you can't replace it while it's being used. You'll need to have a temporary dashboard (like Avalaunch) whilst your replace EvoX.

Personally, I'd bin EvoX and run XBMC as my dashboard. But you need to get some form of program running as your dashboard first.

why? just go into config live, and ftp over media center the same as you would evox.

Good point, but no mention as to whether FTP works or not...............

if hes wants to install evox, ftp will need to be working anyway.
