Background
I have been searching and searching for a solution there have been similar posts but nothing in them has helped I looked through over 80 pages of posts for the info.
xbox :v1.6
modchip: x2.6
bios: EvolutionX M8 Bios_v1.6 ( 1mb Bios)
HD: Seagate 200gig
Install type: everything on F:
Problem:
Evox loads up with no problems, however when i go to start an applications such as an emulator or xbmc it freezes up on the loading screen.
Suggested solutions that have not helped me out:
1. Edit the evox.ini to fix up ay errors with where the apps are at ( i compared mine to the known good files posted everything was a ok)
2. Delete all files off of X: Y: Z: (didnt help )
3. Boot to Ms dash and fix the date and time ( it was correct to begin with)
4. You have the wrong Bios ( I am thinking this one maybe the solution)
5. Reinstall evox ( Good ole slayers 2.6 I reinstalled no luck)
6. You need a full 1mb bios on that chip. ( I have a 1mb Bios flashed)
Conclusion:
I am thinking that the bios maybe the issue , however everything i have read says that this bios should work.
I have tried to use the x2_5032_v16plus_512k bios however i cannot open it with the evtool (v 1.0.8 or 1.0.9) to make it point to the F: for evox therefore this bios will not work anyway for me .
I thank you for taking the time to read this and your replies
