EvoX Installation Problems

Hi all, I'm new to the modding world, so my questions will be n00b-like...

I recieved a Xecuter 3 CE mod-chip w/solderless adapter and front panel from www.modchipstore.com about 2 days ago .....I installed it with no problems, and everything is working. I still have the original HDD, but I just ordered a 250gb to put in my main computer; I'll take the 160gb HDD out of it and put it in my Xbox (format it through the bios?). I flashed the chip w/ the X3 Config Live bios build 3294 through LAN w/ no problems. Everything's done and working great.....

But now I want to get a EvoX dashboard CD burned before I get my HDD (no, I'm not going to install it onto my existing HD, just want to have it ready). I've followed, step by step, the instructions on this thread: http://www.teamxecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23862 . I've gotten the EvoX files from xbins, build 3935, and used Craxtion to make an ISO out of the folder I put the files in (xISO files just set as .ISO?).

But I've tried burning it onto several CD-RW's, DVD-R's, and DVD-RW's, of different brands. They all burn successfully, but when I put them into the Xbox and try to but up both with the mod chip on and off, it never works. Sometimes, w/ the mod chip off, it will read the CD and reboot with the mod chip on, but it takes me right back straight to the X3CL dashboard. I've tried using Nero 6 Express (wouldn't burn in the image process w/ a DVD, but would do normal data burn; tried both data and image process w/ CD-RW's). I also used Discjuggler to burn DVD's w/ the image process, with still no success (haven't tried the normal data process).

I've also tried making different ISO images with Craxtion, making some out of a folder with just the .xbe file and the .ini file, with still no success. One time, I tried one w/ just those two files, plus the bios and skin folders, and still no success. And, of course, I tried the whole kit-n-kaboodle, and no success.

Am I doing something wrong? I can't find the original program, xISO, anywhere on the internet, and the so-called "replacement", Qwix, makes ISO images that don't work either.

I have a Xbox v1.3, just as a side note...

Where am I going wrong? :(
