Evox to xbmc boot

HI all

I have had the evox dash on my machine along time now and want to change it to xbmx 360 at boot. I can load the xbmc 360 from the evox menu by selecting it the thing is can i change it from booting the evox dash first to boot the xbmc 360 media player dash instead of the evox dash ???
do i need to alter a file ???

can anyone help thanks

Depends on your BIOS. If you are already running X2CL 5035 then yes it should be as easy as editing a file, x2config.ini in particular. If you are still running an older BIOS that has the dashboard names "hard coded" you have two options. Reflash the BIOS to have the have the proper dash names (I'd take the opportunity to to upgrade to X2CL 5035) or replace the EvoX dash file (typically evoxdash.xbe) with the XBMC shortcut file.

One thing I would recommend is that when playing around with switching dashboards be sure you have a working boot disk that you can use to regain access to your HDD should something go awry.

or you could remove evox dash then rename the xbmc.xbe to evoxdash.xbe
