RGH Excessive boot times on RGH2 Falcon

I just got given this console, and it takes a really long time to boot - often about 30 minutes.

I opened it up, and it has a Coolrunner Rev B, with all the wires going to what looks like the right places.

C15 is not installed (more precisely, it's up on one end) and there is a 10R resistor soldered to point D with a long wire (not coax cable) going to the CPU_RESET point.

Apart from this, it seems to work.

Some more (possibly not relevant) information:

Console will boot to XeLL releaded if powered up using eject, and does basically work
2BL A and B are 5772
Dash and kernel are 15574
DVD-ROM drive is Liteon DG-16D2S with unknown firmware

Basically, I am looking for advice on how to improve the boot times - after that, I was going to upgrade it, but I guess the first step has to be dealing with the slow boots.

Well Falcons never really liked RGH2 they have always been very picky and never work or take forever to boot.

Definitely a clone, you can see by the CND instead of GND, square corners and white PRG/NOR switch. You will not get help in here, but you can post in request for a service and someone can fit a genuine TX cool runner in that xbox.If installed properly, boot times will bee under 1 minute. If you want something super fast, R-jtag is your option.

Edit:is the worst clone I've seen

I picked an easier solution:

1) Reflash drive to iXtreme LT
2) Reflash NAND with retail image
3) Rip board out and throw it away

Boots instantly now.

I have actually Seen worse clones. Like on the chip it says xilink, it has the TX logo but dosen't say anything else on the PCB diden't even say rev b or anything and didwen't even have the little running man logo just the TX logo and everything else was blank. Suprisenly it works really good for about a month then it just stopped working all together. I told my friend it woulden't work or it will only work for a short time he said i don't care i'm going to try and use it anyways.

Well, this is fun - after restoring the console to retail state (except for the DVD drive), I turned it on with the network connected - and it connected to Live. I think this is the first RGH console I've ever seen that wasn't banned.
