I opened up my xbox360 slim yesterday and I'm not sure if this rubber thing fell out of the system or was it trash I already had on my floor.

Does anyone know is this is rubber thing is part of an xbox360 slim ?
If so where does it belong ?
and do I need it ?

Great start to your first couple of posts here on the forum, with that kind of attitude you prob wont get that much help around here... but from your photos looks like that will need to be soldered back in place onto the shell of your xbox otherwise at some point in the future it will look like its missing

It's a little round dining table laying upside down, normally used by the very tiny people who live inside your xbox and make the fan go round. It's hard working so give them back their table. Just slide it inside the fan opening...

it belongs to your drive there are four of them I think , the part the laser sits on is screwed down to the plastic frame with four screws , there are rubber grommet like washers under the screws

As for everyone else's worthless comments, just ignore them. Some people have too much time on their hands.

Actually, I believe there is a grommet on the motor as well that mates with the top of the drive....I will try to check when I get home.
