Executor 2.6 / Xapt3r 1.6 / xbox 1.6 / FRAG

howdy...

i'm chipping a friends xbox, it's a crystal xbox, so it's v 1.6...
i have the xapt3r 1.6 and the executor 2.6

i've installed the xapt3r, got the blue LED, two red, orange and green LED's all on, so assume it's all installed correctly...

with no chip and the solderless in, it boots fine, with the executor in and switched off, boots fine, with the chip switched on, it's does the good old 3 boots then red / green and nothing...

the 5v is connected fine... the switch bank is showing the chip on, etc, but it just won't boot, tried both banks and nothing out each...

what i havent fitted though is the 3 wire connector to HD / LAN and wherever the grey goes, as the LAN and HD LEDS arent needed on this xbox, and i assume that with it being solderless, the xapt3r 1.6 will connect up whatever the grey wire should have done ??

any ideas, it's driving me nuts !!

well one thing is for certain you don't have to worry about the grey wire - that is your d0 - but as you are solderless it will already be connect via the xapter

since i'm getting the 5 leds on the xapt3r, does that mean the LAD points and D0 are all ok ??

also, everytime i try the chip and get the three boots and frag, if i switch the chip off and boot the normal bios, it's asking for the date and time to be set ?

Im having the same problem with my 1.6 ( not 1.6b) Xbox with a xecuter 2.6 CE
the chip i have soldered. when i boot the xbox with the chip disabled it works like normal, but if i turn on the chip, it does 3 boots and then flashes red/green. i have checked and ree checked the solder and it looks fine. can it be a faulty chip ?

Hey ebee. I think I read something on your little problem. i think your hdd has timed out. just try setting the correct date and time and all should be well. hope this helps.

even with the HD and DVD back in and date set it still dies on me...

whats the chances of it being a buggered executor ?? it's trying to boot from the LPC, so D0 must be ok, and the lights show the right connectionso on the rest of the wires ?

It could be the switches or the wires going to the switches.

or did u flash a wrong bios to your chip (or u`ve flashed it wrong)?
