Exiting from game to black screen

Sometimes when I exit the game (XBLA or X360) I end up on black screen.

System is unresponsive to controller buttons I have to reboot it manually.

When I press power button on the console it restarts (not shutting down) and then everything is normal after that.

I have my XBLA games on internal HDD, others are on USB disk.

I have latest FSD installed, DashLaunch 2.27, both on internal HDD (SLIM 4GB RGH).

Can anyone help me?

Could be a setting in dashlaunch launch.ini file.

Run dashlaunch again I believe there are settings regarding games :smile:

seems to be the usb doing it
when u get the black screen pull the usb stick out and see if it restarts

Maybe you should try moving Freestyle to your USB hdd. Believe I've read that it is not recomended to have it installed on internal MU. Some even remove memory entirely.

I have Freestyle on USB hdd and have no issues whatsoever.

Could you please post your ini file just to see your destination path to FSD?

I have 250GB HDD in my console, and FSD is installed on it, not on internal MU (4GB), but I'll try to move it to USB HDD anyway just to see.

As far as I can tell its FSD rescanning for games.

It does it on mine but if I leave it for a few mins then it finally comes back. However it can take a long time some times. Thats with the internal hard drive.

I have tried it with a USB drive and like mentioned when you pull the drive out it starts back up again.

Thats another reason why I think its FSD scanning for games.

Oh i misunderstood thought you had it on MU..

As Dosk3n says its probably FSD scanning for games or though it shouldn't take for ever. Of course the bigger the drive and the more games you have on it, the longer it takes to finish.

But why is only sometimes you have this issue?

I have tried to disable autoscan, issue is still there

Few days ago I have updated to dash 14699, and install FSD using DashLaunch 2.27.

I was suggested by a member of xbox360iso forum to downgrade to dash 13604 and use DashLaunch 2.26 (he said that DashLaunch 2.27 is too buggy).

What do you think of that?

What kernel and DashLaunch you use?

Is there any log file on console I could post here after rebooting from crash?

And I'm on 14699 FSD 2.2 Dashlaunch 2.27 and no problem with it.

Could it be a problem with your USB hdd? Have you tried connecting it to another USB port?

I'll try to connect HDD to another port (I hope that the solution is really that simple )

Try minimun settings in launch.ini and see if that makes a difference

Only in GOD format.
