External Hard drive problem

Hi there,

I have a maxtor mini hard drive that was recognized by my rgh no problems. then I had to replace the caddy as the usb broke. I bought a cheap replacement off ebay, my pc and tv still recognize it but the xbox cannot.

I've tried formatting to nfts and fat32 it still wont work

does the console see the drive at all under settings/storage?

it sees nothing in fsd 3.0 or in normal xbox dash.

It's possible the USB->SATA chipset in the caddy isn't supported by the console, especially if you can see it ok on your PC.
