Hey.
I have been having some troubles running a external harddrive in FSD. at one point i worked and i was succesfully able to trasfer games to it via ftp and by copying discs to it. But after i rebootet the harddrive was no longer visable in FSD. The harddrive is a 3TB Seagate drive formattet with a program called FAT32format, as FAT32 with an allocation unit size of 32768.
The harddrive is hooked up to front port on my xbox.

I really dont have a clue as to how to solve this problem or what it is caused by. So if anyone know of this problem or is in an other way able to help, it will be much appreciated

Thy xbox can not see all of a 3Tb drive or anything over 2TB The best thing to do is break it up into a few partitions and have them formatted FAT32. After that the drive should be visable again as the new partitions you setup.

I have heard somthing about FAT32 only having a max space of 2 TB, but some have said that more was possible.
But you are probably right about partitioning it.
Also it seems like the drive is partly working now, even though its formattet without partitioning it, games cant be scanned of it and it does not appear as a drive under status, although it did at some point.
i will try partitioning it as you said and see if it solves the problem, thanks for the reply.

You will be able to view only one partition from your formatted hard drive and not all of them on your 360.

Guess you will need to find another use for that 3TB hard drive and invest in another 1.5 or 2 TB hard drive.

I have tried with another 500 gb drive, it too wont properly be detected. what really puzzels me is that i have previously, 2 times, been able to detect and use it on my xbox. could it have somthing to do with the xbox's hardware itself or the firmware installed on it?

Try a different usb port, also test with xexmenu and see if you can see the usb device when it's connected. I had a jtag which would detect a usb stick/drive if it was connected before turning it on but once it's switched on if I connected any storage device to it via USB it won't detect it.

The external drive seems to be detected: EHCI BUS device 1: vendor 5810 procut 0110: mass-storage device
Used my 500 gb external drive connect to a front port, i have also tried using a diffent port but with no changes.

So is not being detected in FSD, NXE or both?
