Yes, it should work. Make sure to use SX 2.6.1 though as there is an issue with USB on 2.6

For external USB drive, where should I put the xci files on my USB stick? I am running emunand ver 7.0.1.

I tried putting them under the sxos/xci folder, but they don't show up under the "Game" menu. Any idea?

Does the SSD show up at all? I ask because I purchased a 1TB Inland Professional SSD and couldn’t get it to work. When I plug the drive in the switch, there’s the spinning wheel at the bottom right screen for a quick second and nothing else happens.

Hope you can find a solution.

I put my xci files on the root of the drive

This are the directories and yours it's correct.
  • /sxos/games
  • /sxos/xci
  • /sxos/nsp
  • /sxos
  • /switch/games
  • /switch/xci
  • /switch/nsp
  • /switch
Your drive must be fat32 or exfat format.

Sorry, forgot to mention that this HDD is not a SSD drive. It's my old WD external 1TB USB drive. When I get into the Game menu, it only shows the games from the SD card, but nothing from the WD 1TB drive. Could it be that it is slow reading the drive? I can see the blinking light on the WD 1TB drive, but the "Scanning" word on the switch bottom right corner is gone.

Does it mean it stopped scanning the drive?

Make sure it's formated exfat or fat32. Right now it may be NTFS
