I was wondering if there is a speed difference in game loading times between using a IDE usb enclosure compared to a SATA usb enclosure? I'm currently using a IDE usb enclosure and have noticed longer loading times compared to running the game from the internal 360 hard drive. Has anyone tried comparing the loading times of games between a IDE usb enclosure versus a SATA usb enclosure? Was there any difference in speeds?

Even tho I didn't test it, there's most likely hardly any difference (If any at all) between an IDE and SATA USB enclosure.

USB 2 is limited to 480Mbps (60MBps), IDE drives in an USB enclosure are most likely UDMA4 (66MBps) or UMDA5 (100MBps) drives.

So most likely you won't notice a difference.

There's more difference between USB and SATA drives, if you want to use an internal SATA drive, the difference between 5400rpm and 7200rpm drives is negligible.
