I'm having a little trouble extracting my dvd key from my 74850C DG-16D2S phat liteon drive.

My current setup:
Windows XP x86
CK3 Probe 3
Using Xbox to power drive
VIA card

I've followed numerous tutorials exactly and still have yet to have 1 successful dump, I've tried with both my CK3 probe 3 and a homemade probe, neither worked.

Here is a picture of my JungleFlasher:

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

check to make sure you're probing the right point, mpx101. I read something the other day where the guys was probing the hole next to it lol.
I'm definitely probing the right one, I've checked numerous times.

I've tried my onboard Intel SATA ports, still nothing. I'd really rather not have to resort to spending £40 on a X360USB.

hmm not sure what else to suggest, liteons have always been tempermental. if u have tried every sata port, then i think u may need to find some 1 in ure area with usb m8, sorry, but double check u are pushing down firm on the point, that can be an issue too

CK3 power on

press Phatkey, press Yes
probe switch off (hold it in))
probe MPX01
probe switch on (release button)
extract complete pops up
remove probe
probe switch off (or ck3 power off)
power back on

I've had this happen to me before. After several attempts I realised I wasn't running jf as administrator. When you start jf make sure you right click and run as administrator worked perfect first time.

Are you probing the right hole. I have one of these drives. I thought the R707 hole was the right one with the tray half open.

I have done this with a intel p55 sata what OS are you using and do you have in AHCI mode. I found it works best in xp 32 non AHCI.

The Probe 3 button works fine if used correctly.

When it asks you to power cycle, hold the switch down (LED off), count to three, release the switch (LED back on) then click OK.

yeah i think we both know the drill but it does not work.
maybe the probe 3 is damaged?
