LITEON 93450 Extracting dvd key from previously MRA hacked board

Hi all. I was asked to update drive 93450c recently. I have owned team xecuter ck3i, ck3pro and probe v3, and therefore this task shouldn't be a big deal. On top of that i have flashed about half a dozen xbox, since i owned the TX kit.

However, when i probe mpx01 point (as per the manual) jungle flasher gives "Extracted drive key failed verification!" followed by "Phatkey extraction failed!".

I have went through the forum after several failed attempts and have spent a full day trying all the techniques/advises proposed by the experience members to other members who had the same error msg from jungle flasher. Note that i still received the same error msg.

Out of curiosity i remove the dvd drive board and realise that the board had been previously flash through MRA hack (see attached). I would like to know if this is the reason why i unsuccessfully probe mpx01/extract the dvd key? Is there other ways of extracting the dvd key from this board without having to solder or buying new flashing tool?

Most probably.

Try first to desolder all the solder on the PCB. It looks very sketchy. Get some solder braid and get the board clean, see what is really happening on the traces of the board. Then post another picture so we can see.

Then you can try and repair it a little more professionally.

I prefer not to use solder because i dont have all the necessary equipment/items for the activity.

I'm wondering;

1. Is there other point on the board that i can probe to get the dvd key?
2. If i desolder and resolder it back again properly, can i then use probe v3 to probe mpx01 point and exract the dvd key?
