have you tried the alternate point on the hana chip? that could be it, lol. i think its ft2r2 or something on the backside of the board.

Ok, this is a crazy idea... but it's an idea.

How are the pins in the USB ports? The reason I ask is because my own Jasper sometimes doesn't like to boot if I've left the controller plugged in to charge and is literally doing exactly the same as what you describe and show in the video. If I unplug the controller, turn the console off and back on, it then boots firs glitch.

So yeah... like I said, crazy idea but I'm wondering if there could be a problem on the USB ports, or something is pulling too much power...
that was a CRAZY idea

I guess you both ignored that I said that it wasn't hot at all after 4.5 mins.

Its not overheating. It done it for the guy when he first got it too.

If the fans do nothing, why is it not 2rrod? I'm sure with fans disconnected it would.....

Sure assembled provides better airflow, that doesn't mean that this isn't sufficient for testing glitch times.

All that aside no one has offered a reason why its either first pulse or never.

This is random it is not temperature relative to success

I would still reflow GPU and CPU just to eliminate the possibility, I've removed X claps and done reflows on all 360 types with similar problems, It just an Idea to try, never eliminate anything till you have found the problem. As for first pulse or never I have had the same problem with Falcon & Zephyr they are all different, you many never find a cure

That is complete overkill!

It works fine as a stock box, it works fine when rebooted into a custom dash.

I can rule out it being temperature related as it'll glitch first time on cold boot more often than it doesn't.

I personally don't care for a consoles glitch times - I just like to learn more about the way the hardware works. If I wanted to reflow and reball stuff for sh*ts and giggles, I'd dust off the ACHI in the spare room..

I appreciate that you're only trying to help. The alt point really won't change much.

However you have given me something else to check when I get home although I can't see it being the cause as I wouldn't f**k that area up, someone did rgh it before me...

Fixed a Jasper today with this problem. Cleaned off dried up thermal paste and re-applied AS5 and everything working good now. Doesn't hurt to try. It doesn't make sense as my jasper wasn't getting hot like yours but it fixed the problem. Only did GPU BTW. Good Luck Oggy.
