Couldn't find this idea, sorry if its a rerun. I was thinking a fail safe timer so if you choose the wrong video format 480, 720, NCST, PAL1 ect..... and your tv doesn't like and you lose a legeable picture you would get a conformation screen simular to windows, "do you want to keep these settings" and a timer that counts down and if you don't confirm it would default back to the previous settings.
