Failed.. but worked?!? now it doesn't work!

ok, I'll start from the beginning so that you can get an idea of what I did.

I have a crystal clear xbox:limited edition. I installed my X3ce chip with the Xapter 1.6. all the LED's lit up on the Xapter, I then connected the 5v connector. I then installed the X3ce chip and connected all the wires, from the X3CP. then sucessfully booted the xbox into the flashbios from banks 1234.

I then proceeded to update the bios with a dvd I burnt, I didn't want to take a chance flashing the bios over network. So it's flashing the bios, the yellow bar goes, then the green bar goes 100%.. but underneath it says that it failed and I can't do anything, so I restart the xbox and it loads the X3 Live Config bios and I am able to enable my LCD, I then connect my xbox to my network and install the EVOX dashboard. everything seems to be working fine. Now I shut off my xbox and go to sleep.

The next day I go to turn on my xbox because I was planning on changing the dashboard to XBMC but it just power cycles 3 times and then the xbox leds are flashing. so I thought, it probably because yesterday it said it failed flashing, so I push power and eject to start up the backup bios. I then try updating the bios again, this time over the network, it fails again and this time it won't even boot with the backup bios. it boots fine from the 5678. I don't know what to do now.. any suggestions ?

Edit: I forgot to mention, I used the X3 3294 v16plus.bin bios file that I got from xbins

this may sound weird, but u said that the box boots 3 times, check th D0

I guess I found my problem, thanks.

This is my first xbox mod and I didn't know about the LPC Rebuild Board that I had to use because the xbox is 1.6. I assumed since I was using the Xapt3r 1.6 solderless adapter, that I didn't have to do any soldering at all. I ordered myself a LPC Rebuild Board and I am currently reading up on exactly how to install it.

So wiith this lpc rebuild board installed, everything should work fine again ?

It's weird that it boots fine into flashbios 3.0.3 from the 5678 banks. and that it worked for a while when I programmed the x3 bios onto banks 1234.

make sure you double check pins 13 and 14 on your lpc.

If you want to test them without taking it apart load a non X3 bios into bank1+2 (like X2 5035). If that works it's def your 13/14 as they control access to the xbox eeprom.

If using the 1.6 solderless adapter, then you DONT need the rebuild board.
