Ok just want to share with you what i have found.
2 days ago i was droped off a console that was previously flashed but has had the dash update and was now not working.
Checked the drive and drive was non responsive i.e bricked like state. i could get it into vendor mode with no problem but after dumping drive i got parse failed every time no matter what i did.
Put the console back together and switched it on and found the console stuck in update state. i.e please insert disc to continue update error code blah blah blah, you get the picture.
Thing is drive did not respond so no update disc would work and flash drive didn't work either. WTF:mad2:
OK this is how i fixed it.....
Flashed the drive with LT+ 2.0 (LTPlus-025-v2.0.bin) With random key from another drive. (now drive is responsive)
Turned on console got error screen. Put in gears of war 3 disc backup or original i found both work. and continued update.
Update a success console now alive again. i found this very strange as the key was not from this console. when i checked the drive the key had changed from what i had put on it but the firmware was still LT+ 2.0.
I have now done this on three 74 series drives and it has worked every time.
The thing is i have only seen this so far with the 74 series liteon every other drive that has had the update but got stuck the drive responds and i can dump and flash the drive as normal.
Has anyone else Found this yet??
