Can't do that. My original PCB has LT+1.92 on it, is locked and the update failed. That's why I bought the TX PCB in the first place, see beginning of this thread.I was told to get an unlocked PCB...

I should habe bought an original PCB with Sputnik-hackable chip. That would have been better. But I thought, the TX PCB is the best. I was soooo wrong :(

Sorry, didn't catch that in your OP. Alright if you can unlock it either with a homemade sput or kamikaze then try to unlock it, flash stock firmware to it update and then go back to tx pcb. All is not lost, just a little more pain in the neck.

Yes, I know. Will have to do kamikaze.

What makes me a little angry is, I always thought the TX PCB is the best option. But it is not an option at all, as it is detectable by the dash update it can't be considered "stealth". TX should have been more clear about that.

As you can see, I got several answers here to get the TX PCB, it seems not many people know it, that you can't update to 13599 with it :(

All I can do now with it is put it on Ebay.

TX PCB is one of the best things to hit the scene. Nothing is 100% when doing any kind of mod. If you're in the US I can take a look at it for you, just pay for shipping to and from. No charge for labor.

hmmm... but why did you put LT+1.92 on original PCB when

1 - 1.92 for 13599.
2 - everywhere says Update dash to 13599 BEFORE flash to any 1.9X

???

Hi,

the way I did it was reported by several people as working. It seemed to be the only way to do it without kamikaze mod for me. I planned to buy the unlocked PCB later.

Now I know it only works for FAT, not slim. :(

No, I don't think it is very good. I guess, no one will be able to update any more without hacking their old pcb too... And when you are able to write to your old PCB, the TX PCB is useless.

Thanks for you offer, but I am in Germany.

there seems to be a lot of confusion in this post !!
how is it possible that your original pcb is locked with lt1.92 on it
the update flashes back to stock before locking it !
the TX replacement pcb is the best and easiest option, you've just stuffed up somewhere before you got it

if you were able to flash your original pcb to 1.92, why not unlock it and flash the original firmware?

---------- Post added at 23:17 ---------- Previous post was at 23:13 ----------

unlock your original pcb, flash the original firmware to the original pcb, install it in your drive then update.

I think, I told exactly how I did it? This way is found in several boards as the only way to get to 13599 without hacking the write protect. Even the FAQ linked above suggests it is possible with some risk of beeing banned.

Look at the first post.

When I flashed 1.92, my PCB was not locked. It locked when I tried to update to 13599. I do know now that I need my original pcb unlocked. I just don't see what the TX PCB is good for any more.

We are talking in loops here, please read more of this thread before answering ;)

But I guess, I am out of options anyways.

Thank you,
- Oliver

try to install back your original pcb with 1.92 and try to update using 13599 first... 13599 might already flashed it to original. If 13599 fails, put 13146 update in a usb and use that to update.

if that fails then... if your original pcb is winbond, do the kamikaze
if the kamikaze failed, buy mxic or an unlocked winbond pcb...

no other options I think.

This happened to me too. Good thing I have an original pcb from another slim.

You can always sell your tx pcb or your original pcb(even with failed kamikaze).

ok read through your whole post, seem to be stuck in the middle of the update ...
only thing that i think you can do is unlock your original PCB (kamikaze ) , flash it back to stock (0272 now), let it finish the update to 13599 (through LiVE or USB) , then flash back to LT1.92 either on the TX PCB or your original PCB...in the FAQs it only mentioned LT1.9 not 1.92 thats where the stuff up has happened...LT1.92 is only for after 13599 dash !

Yes, I could have bought a mxic board, it was even CHEAPER than the TX board. Really bad decision on my side, but I thought the TX Board is "the best".
I was not also aware of the limitation of tx pcb on 272 until I experienced it. Maybe I didn't read the warning about it...there were people posting it here.

You will be able to sell it very easily....get yourself an MXIC with the sputnik switch already fitted
