Well Martin in my slim i had to remap the bad block flashing the original nand. Otherwise the console would give me a E79
If you understood what you were doing, you'd know that it wasn't the bad block remap which fixed the issue you had. Was your original NAND working before you dumped it? If so, flashing 0x0-0x400 back returns it to the same state as it was.

It's possible that what you did re-wrote a bad WRITE, but that's not the same thing at all.

I've done dozens of bad block consoles and never gotten E79. E71 yes, but not E79 - that screams 'bad write'.

Just did it again, just in case. Flashed the original nand without remapping. CoolRunner on PRG (turned off). Same thing

Have you checked all your points for continuity? Use a multi-meter and check resistance from your cr pads to the alt point. That will give you the best readings, since probing from just the solder won't tell you if you have a good connection on the board itself.

How long are you leaving it?
Maybe half a minute or so Martin

Yes Viber, i always check the the connection "the long way", everything is ok.
When i saw the bridged resistor i was happy. I thought "there you are! now you are going to work" but then :(

So with everything connected - same thing - CR blinks green once, fans do not reset.
So i tested it with everything connected to CR except:
B - green light won't blink but fans do reset.
C/D - same result as without B
A (pll_bypass) - the green light blinks every 5 seconds but very fast (low light), fans do reset, and after 33 seconds i get RROD 0022. Only in this case i get RROD.

does this mean anything? Is this normal? i don't have a phat board here right now to test.
Is there anything do debug this? Get to know what is happening and why the fans won't reset and the green light only blinks once?

Hey everyone,
so after this time i did managed to get rid of the RROD.
Although I have no image on my screen.
With Retail nand i just get the center green light, no image, no rrod.
with ecc + cr the cr blinks green once (one time it blinked twice) and then nothing.
I do believe the problem is something directly related to Video output.
I guess the cr stops blinking green because it GLITCHED the console at first try, as all falcon. But no image.

Any suggestions?
Is there any troubleshoot i can follow or something?
Can some Moderator please remove the "answer" from the title please?

hey esbmaepo,
I've tried it with hdmi, component, scart, and rgb. That was my first thought too. It behaves the same in every case. That's why i believe the problem is located before the video connector.

Video connector is directly connected to HANA. Have you checked for any trace damages or faulty resistors in that connection?

Yes i did. Everything looks good. The resistors near STBY are perfect. I measured them all

Try this http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=81343
worked on a few jaspers with similar syptoms
Tks Silkori. I've seen that post. I've tried that. I've done multiple installs and uninstalls of CR's just on this board. Replaced CR, Replaced wires, Re-routed wires,....

Are you using qsb's?

Just wanted to know if my method would be the same as i have not used any qsb's and i also use the alternate point for the stby_clk.

Hey Sikori, no, i solder everything directly. Tried alternate poins as well.

it's the same problem for my Jasper 6750.no solution until now.
Hey gonkar, have you tried the 68nf cap on your jasper?

I would really appreciate some method to conclude that the HANA chip is in working condition. I feel the problem comes from there. Don't know why but it's my guess

Yes, I have tried the 68nf on my Jasper , and still the same problem. here is my problem with photos of my Jasper

and I think the problem is from HANA Chip too, so how do we know exactly if it is working or not ?

Flash the 1st 50 blocks of your original NAND back.

Set to PRG on the CR.

Make sure it boots.

If so, set to NOR on CR.

Again, make sure it boots.

Then advertise on the request a service or item page and get someone to do it for you.

Hey Martin,
thank you for the reply.
By now i have glitched around 70 consoles, but thank you for the suggestion :D
As i said before, the console has no video with Retail nand. with or without CR. Please see post #47.
Won't send it to anyone because just the shipping costs are probably more expensive then the board itself.
