I install the coolrunner after getting two matching nand dumps. Created the ecc with multibuilder and flashed it. On boot I got nothing, the coolrunner was not glitching (no green flashing light). I checked all the solder points and it all looked fine (I have been soldering for many years now). So I flashed the stock nand back and put the coolrunner in program mode to disable it and then booted the xbox and about a minute later 0022 appeared. When I measured the ristance accross the CPU_PLL_BYPASS resistor it was only 52.1 ohms so I replaced the resitor with a good one from another board and I got the same 0022. cheched the resistance again and it read 32.1ohms so I replaced it again and the same thing. When I measure the ristance of the resistor on the board it is 32.1 ohms and the ones I took off measure at 9.92 kohms even though when they were on the board they would give me 52.1 and 32.1 ohms.

In the pic the resistor I put the square around is the one I am talking about.

Please help. Thanks in advance.

Just to add some more info. I had removed the coolrunner thinking it was a short myself and the same thing again. Also when I thried to write the ecc the first time my nand-x would not detect the nand until I removed and repositioned the wire to the hana point.

The pic is not the greatest (camera sucks). But it is a pic of the resistor and the cpu_pll_bypass point. I can't find anywhere on the board there would be a short. I have done countles jtags and now this is my 31st rgh with 100% sucess untill now.

So how did you measure continuity for it before? a probe either side?

put one probe on GND and the other on CPU_PLL_BYPASS itself. What do you get?

How long does it take to RRoD?

Yes I put a probe on the cpu_pll_bypass and bottom side of the resistor and there was continuity.

When I probe ground and pll_bypass I also get continuity and 100+mohms then to infinity.

It takes about 40 seconds to rrod.

i did a dvdkey recovery yesterday.(falcon mobo)
before removeing CR i tested one thing.
when i got cpukey i wrote a retail image.
i put CR to prog but console gave me 0022 error about 30-40 sec.
then i put it nor mode and it booted but it froze.
i removed cpu pll- cpu rst - 3.3.v wires.
it booted.!!

The other thing I noticed is that if I flash the ecc I created that the green light on the RF board stays on and no 0022 but no Xell either.:frown:

That's because the ECC image file prevents 0022 from appearing. Really have no idea what you've done here.

did you boot 360 after reading nand(before ecc writing) ?

test alternate cpu_pll_bypass.
