The readings you have registered between the other points should be normal as long the resistance readings are approx 670ohms or near that range. It would only be of concern if it the resistance is really low.

While you are working at your end, I'm doing the same here with 3 xenons and 2 falcons that all have the same issue.

I wish you the best of luck... you've got your hands full... I thought one dodgey xbox was bad enough....

I have noted that the GPU heat sink does get extremely hot compared with the cpu heat sink is that an indication that its shorting out?

And also if I put any resistance on the Jtag 330/470 I get 3 red rings and xell doesn't boot... so resistors not helping... it has worked for some.

I still haven't been able to get nandpro to recognise my flash controller... I've been flashing through usb no success so far....

I seem to be going round in circles rechecking soldering, wiring and more rechecking but not getting anywhere...

I would really appreciate if someone would give us a hand...

Surely it can't be this difficult....?

Suffice to say that this is most likely board related, why has it happened this remains to be found out, but there aren't that many people who have encountered this problem. I know that everything else works because my both NAND-X works with other boards as well as the LPT cable that I made my self.

I'm even thinking of sending one these boards to xecuter so he could examine it for him self.

The xbox is dead... In my desperation to fix it I tried something silly... This is what happened (to save anyone else trying the stupid idea)

When placing a resistor 330/470 on jtag I found I got RROD - I decoded the secondary error it was 0021. Which happens to be related to the southbridge or bad solder joints on GPU. I decided it was the GPU? .... I examined areas around southbridge didnt appear to be anything shorting out...

So I decided to overheat the xbox by removing the fans and letting it sit for at least half an hour with some books sitting over the GPU to push it down...(I didnt want to spend anymore money on x-clamp/proper reflow). I turned the xbox off and let it sit overnight...

This morning when I turned it on got the solid green light as before but now unable to boot into xell which was working perfectly until I decided I was going to be stupid...

Anyway I'm pretty sure I 've fried the GPU and other components on the board which would be way to difficult to fix...

I also noticed a damaged capacitor tested it with a multimeter.. near J1d2 and the southbridge ( its the one the qsb goes around).. This may have been causing all my problems but I'll never know now....

Anyway thanks to everyone who has tried to help... Special thanks to manwithoutname and good luck with your xbox's...
