Falcon Black Screen (Solved)

Hello. I have been modding since dreamcast including 43 wire PS2 days so soldering should not be an issue.

Stopped modding FW awhile back when became so easy and every kid became a "modder".
Decided to come back now that we have a true mod for 360. Besides JTAG.

Purchased a entire set of TX products to get the ball rolling. So all read/write is done with TX hardware.

Falcon board. HDMI CB5771
Installed QSB's, flashed Coolrunner, read nand x 3
compared, wrote .ecc
recovered key from xell, built hacked dash with 360_Multi_Builder_v0.4
wrote hacked dash with success.
-->360 will boot into Xell through eject. If I use power button I can see Coolrunner Green Blink 1 or 2 times.
The 360 green power is on but nothing on the screen and it just remains steady. I end up turning off the power after a minute.

So I wrote OG nand back to machine. Same thing except obviously it does not go into Xell on eject.
At this point I can see the coolrunner green blinking every few seconds or so. This leads me to beleive that the coolrunner is working properly because it glithes after 1 or 2 attempts with the hacked dash written but without continues to attempt.

I have tried the whole process again using the new walkthrough in Jtag tool (awesome by the way...frikin capture...nice work coolshrimp)
No Go... same thing.

So I tried a new write by way of USB key and XeLL-Reloaded. Still the same. No video. and no booting.

Currently I am back to OG nand with no video.
Going to move onto a slim right now.

Any suggestions?
Cheers, Vrt

so u removed the coolrunner flashed org fw and still not working. seems like u f**ked up the 360 when soldering it, look for solder drops on the motherbord missing components etc or it could be that ur org fw dump is somehow messed up

I know that I did not screw up the soldering because I had originally flashed the glitch and then realized I had not updated the dashboard yet. So I flashed OG back in order to install update via USB. Updated no problem in exact same position. After that I continued on, ...

No, you can leave the QSB just remove CR. What's strange is I had not updated my dash before RGH and everything went fine, I was on 9199 and was fine

EDIT: you can leave the wires (ABCD) just tape the end or make sure they don't short out on something, just no need to desolder everything while testing.

yes. had already removed the wires from the coolrunner and taped them up.

just took the board back out of the case and checked all connections.
Wrote the nand read from after I updated to latest dash. After about a minute it now 3 red lights.

rather dissapointing on my first machine. Wondering if doing phats that possibly will RROD after case removal is worth it.

No bad blocks

I would think not but could it be an issue with updating to 13604 before hand? I see another thread with someone having the same issue after updating to 13604 via usb before glitching

Correct me if I am wrong but the fact that I can read/write nand, boot Xell from glitched ecc and clearly see the coorunner only flash 1 or 2 times would indicate that wiring is all good.

Wrong?

Thanks frazzled but right now I am trying to get stock back running. All coolrunner wires are disconnected.
If I read nand right now it compares with the original dump properly.
At work now but will try and use Xell to write OG nand back in morning.

Re: Falcon Black Screen (Solved)

Alright then...went through every similar post last night.
It all revolved around my update to OG dash and fuseset 7. Found this info in another thread. My nand dumps were showing 1 fuseset less for my cfldv.
Rebuilt my freeboot image with multi builder and edited options.ini to match my fuseset.

Damn....it glitches fast. Thanks TX.
On to a slim.

Cheers, VrT

Also have to add.....used my new X360 USB Pro, Probe 3, and CK3i to flawlessly flash the preflashed Liteon inside.
