I am tryng to glitch a falcon (2008-07) with CB 5771 with cool runner TX but no luck.

There are 2 problems,maybe 3.

The red led on cool runner doesn't light up.
The green led also doesn't blink, but the fans are signaling the CPU reset.

The cool runner board is getting power, measured the voltage, 3.3v

Putting the multimeter on diode when the console is off between GND and 3.3v sounds like they are connected.

The cool runner programs ok, with power led lighted.

Tried with:

falcon.jed
opus.jed
with 470 pF inline with CPU_RST
220pF on CPU_PLL to GND.
3.3v alternative point next to original 3.3v; this one is not connected to gnd when console is off; powers when console power up.
redone wirings 2 times.

Any other constructive ideas are welcome.

Putting the multimeter on diode when the console is off between GND and 3.3v sounds like they are connected. falcon rgh need no diodes so this makes no sense.

The cool runner programs ok, with power led lighted. thats because it is powered by the nandx during programming.

redone wirings 2 times. its a falcon so just use the falcon jed and no cap, cap is for jaspers.

Any other constructive ideas are welcome.
photo's of your install may help.

I was just measuring if there any conection on gnd and 3.3v withmultimeter, not installing any diode.

The interesting fact is that with a Chinese cpld the led on pin 27 lights up when reset occurs. :)

I will try to add some photos.

You don't have 3.3v on cool runner if the red LED is not on. Make sure the program switch is set to Normal instead of Program.

Desolder the 3.3v wire from the coolrunner pad and solder it to the 3.3v PIN on the programmer side. There's plenty of room to do this at the base of the pin.

Try it set this way instead.

This set-up has lighted the red led, but no go on the green one

Switched the STBY_CLK to alternative point on the back and now the green led lights and hardly glitches.

It glitches when the processor is a little warm...:|

There is a fix for that, to boot faster?

Thanks for help!

Thanks for effort, but it seems that it only boots to xell and not in dahsboard - only black screen; maybe because the cpu is to hot and when it throttle to normal speed it cannot function normal; yet, no red lights of overheating

Image generated with 360multibuilder v4 and v7, flashed with rawflash v4.

I think i will pass this one, ti much time spend on it.

Have you checked my LDV sticky? If it's booting XeLL but not the dashboard, it may be an LDV issue.

Yes, i have read the explanations, well explained.

LDV coresponds to fff on fuseset 07 from XELL.

Also stock dashboard image without glitch boots fine...

I'm with Martin - I too have had issues with Falcons not glitching, but it has been with NO XELL - if xell is booting, then it's something in the glitch image or as above, some have found that heating the CPU has helped to boot to dash

Got to admit, that 360 i got from ebay..... My soldering is the nuts. But even when i press eject it only boots into dashboard.

Changed wires and coolrunner and used Kynar aswell. Still only boots into dash.

Strange. If anyone gets a clue about how to do it. It would be nice...

Small edit.... even though it had original screws in. It did have self adhesive heat pads attached and one screw missing. SO the one i got from ebay is probably been fixed.
