I have this falcon, cb 5761, using jtag tool i dump my nand 6 times, all the same, one bad block, block 57, so i write xell, making sure to select org smc points in the options window, everything goes fine, untill i unplug it, and try to boot it, E79, i used the 2 diodes jtag install, like ive done 5+ times now, with NO snags. Thinking i may have bad diodes or wiring, i rewire it, again e79, rewire a 3rd time, e79 again....

i used my dvm to check and recheck the soldering, all okay, diodes are new and checked with dvm, both okay

so...

i remove the jtag wiring, flash my nand dump back, and it boots into the dash just fine, 2.0.7371.0 btw

im dumbfounded....

so im stuck, any help would be great

heres a pic of the wiring, i used the DB1F1 alt right next to the heat sync hole, and ROL point.... there 1n4148 diodes... and i checked everything with my dvm...

Try BoXXDR's wiring method instead. It uses an alternate DB1F1 point and AUD_CLAMP which is supposed to be more stable and reduces E79 errors.

*NOTE* You will need to use an AUD_CLAMP version of Xellous/FreeBOOT if you use BoXXDR's wiring.

You could try the 360 exploit tool. However, I recommend downloading the AUD_CLAMP versions of Xellous here (thanks to Ir0nman of EMS). Use this command in NandPro:
Code:
nandpro usb (assuming you are using USB): -w16 falcon.bin 0 50

I can't see the pics of your soldering as Tapatalk wont load them. So assuming it's ok, get you DMM and check the impedance of J2D2.1 and J2D2.2. They should both be 1.5k

What do you mean ground is open? Is it shorting to ground on both points? If so, there is your problem.
