Do you know how to use a digital multimeter?

yes, i set it to 20 k ohms and probed from 2.1 to ground and i get ol same with 2.2 to ground

okay now that i changed the battery, lol, i get 1.559k and 1.557k

So it's not that, you'll be glad to know. Falcons should be at 1.5k for each point and Zephyrs at 500ohms.

I'm working on a Zephyr console right now which had 1.5k on one point and 500ohms on the other. The 1.5k is wrong and indicates a bad connection under the GPU. I've just reflowed it (without changing any of the wiring) and it's now booting to Xell. You therefore understand why I asked

Check over ALL your wiring.

Take pictures and post them up - just to make sure you're putting the right wires onto the right points.

i think i may have found a broken trace, pin 1 on j2d2, the tiny trace that goes under the heat sync is broken...

How well can you solder?

If you're not so good, stop now and get it to someone to repair this for you. Right now there's a good chance it's still JTAGable. TBH If you've broken a trace whilst soldering to big points, you don't want to attempt a trace repair.

i used 30 gauge kyner wire and got it fixed, pass the dmm check

how do i remap the bad block, as ive never had to before?

It's nothing to do with bad blocks. Don't put the OP down the wrong path.

what do you mean? its BoXXDr's wiring.... only thing i did different was snip the resistor leads and use kynar wire...
