JTAG Falcon, E79 before CPU Key

I've followed 2 tutorials and I get an E79 error with both right before I can get the CPU key.

1) http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55024
2) [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kuO5upHjaJM[/ame]

Done at least 10 nand reads via JTAG Tool and manually via nandpro. All are identical.

I've checked all the jtag points for continuity and shorts. They appear to be good. I've tried going through the 3 resistor options on the qsb. 470 gives me 1 red light at the bottom right and E79, 330 and 0 give me 3 red lights and a blank screen.

None of the nand connections have any shorts with each other. If one of my nand connections was bad would I still be able to read and write to the nand?

Thanks for reading! :)

In my rush to post I forgot to provide some info about my xbox. It's a brand new 120gb elite that's been sealed since I opened it a couple days ago. I booted it up once to make sure it worked and to check the dash version. I am able to write the original nand file back and the system boots up without the E79 error.

I didn't use a fibre pen. Not even sure what that is. I'll recheck the soldering tonight.

Aside from the soldering, what else could it be?

A fibre pen is made of fibre glass strips - and you use it to scrape away the green PCB cover covering to get to the tracks for soldering ....
