Falcon glitches but no boot

Hi everyone, I've seen a few similar threads to my problem, but couldn't find one with the exact same symptoms so I figured I would ask the experts.

I've noticed on the last 2 falcons I've installed coolrunners into (using QSB's) that they will sometimes glitch successfully but then fail to boot. When I power on I get a single green flash on the coolrunner which I assume is a successful glitch as the other falcons I've done nearly always glitch first time. But the console never gets any further and just stays with the power led lit on the front panel, I don't get the green ring to signal the console is booting.

I can simply power off and then immediately back on again and it will usually work perfectly. However this latest one I've done sometimes requires 3 attempts before booting.

I was just wondering where might be best to focus my attention in regards to soldering. Everything is solid and clean with no bridges (checked with a magnifying glass). Or is it maybe that falcons don't always boot successfully?

your yellow and blue wires are to close to the coils i had this problem with my falcon
same here. i had it once on a falcon, and once on a Jasper 16mb. make sure the wires are separate from each other as well as away from the coils.

I know it really doesn't seem like a big thing, the very first console I rgh'd was a falcon. It booted instantly every time, out of the case, wires loose. When I buttoned up my wiring i ran green and blue next to each other, and hot glued them in place. It wouldn't boot most of the time after that. Once I did a bit of research, I separated them. Runs like a dream. Instant boots every time.

I just had similar problem on a falcon. The easiest way I found was take mobo out of metal cage then press the power button and then move the wire until it boots.
