falcon glitching problem with usb hdd

My falcon seem to have glitch problems.
When it does glitch=boot, it takes about 20-30 seconds or so to enter freestyle dash. Just before entering FSD, I hear the fans increasing (setting dashlaunch).

Strange thing is that the problem seems to be usb hdd related. When I disconnect the usb hdd (new 2tb WD elements), it always glitches and the time it "hangs" on the xbox logo is only a few seconds.

Any thoughts or simular problems?

It will take a long time to boot with a 2TB hard drive attached.

It has to read the sectors of the drive to gain the information it needs to know what drive, size, etc.

Don't forget, it scans all drives at startup to see if any new games have been added.

My 1tb Portable HD boots up quick, where as when i attached my 2tb desktop Hard drive. It takes a lot longer, and waits about 5-10secs at the xbox logo.

The rule of thumb is, the bigger the HD, the longer boot time to FSD. It is not Glitch related

Yeah, but that's when fsd is already started up.
I'm talking about the time between the xbox logo starting up till the time it signs in automatically (and dashlaunch starts to control the fans).

As stated; most of the time when I boot up with USB HDD, it doesn't glitch, only after turning it off and turning it on 1 or more times helps.

Thanks for the info.
Guess the problem is down to the 2tb hdd.

Did some more tests and also without the usb hdd, it sometimes doesn't boot.
Have to power down and then power up once or twice before it boots.
