Hello all,
As I mentioned in another thread, I have a Jtagged Falcon which might be dying. After giving it some thought I'd like to save the Falcon if I can...
My symptoms are that I'll be playing a game, and somewhere between 11 and 30 minutes (it varies) the game will just exit and return me to the FSD. Not a full reboot (that I can tell), and no error messages or anything that I can see that might help me diagnose the problem to where I have an idea where to start troubleshooting. This isn't game-specific, it happens no matter what the game.
The highest temp when this happens is the GPU, which is around 64c. If I understand correctly, below 80c should still work and below 70c should be just fine (please correct me if that's not right). I have taken care to see that my fans are turned all the way up, and they are. And, by the sound of it, the fans are working just fine (very, very loudly).
I'm a pretty technical guy, and I try to Google and take care of whatever I can by myself (but I'm a butcher with a soldering iron
), but I'm not sure how to go about diagnosing what the problem is. I'd be grateful for any suggestions on how to start looking.
TIA
