Okay so this week ive tried jtagging my falcon motherboard. i made my own LPT cabel with a dsub. everything looks correctly no solder splashes etc. i have the resistors solderd directly to the motherboard same for the orange diode. my xbox 360 wont turn on when i try to boot.

iMoses from 7s told me that some xboxes wont boot until you dump the nand and flash xell. but my question is. is there any way to get my xbox to work without flashing xell? since i can't detect the flashing controller. idk what to do. i also tried shorting my nand. still no luck.

Check the length of your wire and make sure it's not too long, half a metre or even less is recommended. Personally I would recommend having the resistors closer to the LPT connector (mine are enclosed inside the LPT connector plug) except for the 1N4148 diode which is on the motherboard.

What have you done prior to this that made the console no longer boots? Pictures of your soldering points on the motherboard are recommended.

If you have a spare box or board, try dumping it using the same cable to test if your cable works fine.

Okay some wires are going through from the back my resistors are solderd directly to the board same for the diode that is on the orange wire. i tried having the resistors solderd to the D-sub. idk if my jtag attempt doesn't work because of that my soldering skills aren't the best. but here are some pictures. and yes i know the quality is not very good.

some pc motherboards don't work well with the lpt method, i don't need the resistors on my pc lpt set up or it won't read. if you have a old pc knocking about give that a try the older ones seem to be better.
