Hi Guys

So I had a perfectly working Jtag Falcon earlier on today, booting into Freeboot 13146 and Xell with eject button.

Added a 1TB hard drive, formatted it normally from dashboard, inserted XeXMenu CD and copied over C0DE9999 folder to hdd. Rebooted and checked to make sure XeXMenu was working, all completely fine.

Secured the mobo with the remaining screws and x-clamp screws into the cage and put the console back together, boot and now it goes straight to E74 error. Tried HDMI cable and standard AV cable, still goes to E74. Tried pressing hard down on the HANA/ANA chip on boot up, still goes to E74. Loosened all screws holding the mobo to cage as thought the board might possibly not be sitting right, E74. Even tried to boot with mobo out of cage altogether, E74.

Eject button boot to Xell works everytime no problems?

If this was the start of the HANA/ANA chip or GPU problem wouldn't it throw E74 regardless of boot sequence?

This is my first Falcon and I didn't tag it but connections look fine and like I said it was working ok up until now. I have the nand backups for it:

So I thought I may as well try to restore the nand by putting 'FreeBOOT_13146_altsmc.bin' on a USB stick (renaming it to 'updflash.bin'), inserting USB stick into rear port of console and then booting with eject. I read that Xell is then meant to flash the image from the USB stick, it doesn't. Then also read that Flash360 needs to be in the root of the USB stick, added this as well but still Xell does nothing. I also read that Xell on a HDMI console is useless, is this what I am experiencing lol!?

Any ideas? Otherwise I'm going to have to wait for my NAND-X pin headers to arrive and solder them in place to reflash the nand.

Cheers
Mark

EDIT: I forgot to mention that when I was in XeXMenu, I noted that CPU temp was at 45C and GPU was at 65C. I've never come across a jtag with the GPU being +20C more than the CPU. Being a Falcon as well I was expecting lower than this, not much better temps than a Xenon! Maybe the GPU has lifted but had it switched on for literally 5 minutes to install hdd and copy over XeXMenu?

Yeah I guess that will be the proof in the puddin'.

But what about this flashing through Xell problem I've got? Is it only Xellous that can do this, if so then what is the point of Xell?

Cheers
